We might have used the word "legend" once or twice in our blog, but in the case of the queen of morna it is most pertinent! For those not familiar with the term morna, it is the Fado-type music of Evora's native Capo Verde. She has one of the most recognizable voices on the planet, and a personal favorite for its naturalness and depth. The Palau is naturally a perfect setting for Evora's "regal appearance" - an evening most warmly recommended!

Rufus might come from one of the planet's most famous music families, son of Loudon Wainwright III and the late Kate McGarrigle and brother of Martha, but he has certainly made his own mark. He is visiting the Liceu Opera, not with his ongoing opera project, but promoting his latest album, 'All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu'.
