Barcelona Accommodation New Year's Eve

Weekend in Barcelona for New Year’s

If there is one night a year you’ll want to spend with your friends it is New Year’s Eve! And, what better place to celebrate together than one of the world’s most popular city break destinations, Barcelona?
With your own self catering apartment with a fully functional kitchen you and your  friends will have the choice of making your own private feast in the apartment or heading out to one of the city’s many wonderful restaurants and nightclubs!
To make the most of your New Year’s celebration in Barcelona you need to know where the best parties are, what restaurants to go to, basically where the fun is at! This guide will introduce you to some of the most exciting and special places to experience a New Year’s eve in Barcelona!
New Year's count-down spots:

Curiously for a city that normally needs “no excuse” to celebrate with fireworks there is no central fireworks organized. There will, however, be no lack of celebrations and general good spirits! Where to gather:
Plaza Catalunya
The center square in Barcelona. It is bound to packed, so this is only for those who don’t mind intimate moments with strangers in public locations! Bring twelve grapes and eat one for every toll of the bell!
The Beaches
The city beaches are always a good choice for celebratory events in Barcelona! Plenty of room for large crowds, nice views of the city and no shortage of bars and restaurants.

Restaurant Recommendations:
Naturally for the last day of the year you’ll need to make a reservation, and make it well in advance!
